The MSS (Mobile Satellite Services) Reporting Terminal - Handheld operates in ALOHA mode and is suitable for sending short messages. Each reporting terminal with an unique ID code operates in S-band and transmits short messages up to 40 characters..

The Handheld Reporting Terminal has been designed to send edited alphanumeric messages up to 40-character length at low bit rate (600-baud rate). By using the Terminal, GPS messages can also be forwarded by E-mail to predefined destination through MSS Hub.

The terminal consists of MSS transmitter (Synthesized Modulator and SSPA), Message Generator card, GPS receiver, Antennas (S-band & L-band) and a rechargeable Battery.
